A good world needs happy children. Happy children need a good childhood. At The Children’s Society, we recognise that some children need help to achieve this. So we heal children’s hurt. We ease children’s pain. We restore children’s respect. When children are alone, we listen. When they’re abandoned, we care.
The Children’s Society was established in 1881 and has grown to become a leading national charity. Our direct action, delivered through a network of 60 projects across the country, transforms the lives of over 50,000 children and their families every year.
We cannot support every child in need so we concentrate our efforts on those whose needs are greatest. These are the forgotten children who face the greatest danger, discrimination or disadvantage in their daily lives; the children who are unable to get the right kind of help, support or understanding they need anywhere else.
